Job Seekers

Courtney Meyer

Hi! My name is Courtney Meyer and a student member of ATSA. I am interested in a Master’s level Clinician position in treating abuse victims and/or sex offenders. Currently, I am working on my Masters of Arts in Forensic Psychology at Roger Williams University and will graduate in May 2012. My specific experiences with forensic populations involve survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, adult male and female general population inmates, and adult male sex offenders. I worked with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through my undergraduate internship at the Clinton County Women’s Center in Lock Haven, PA. I answered hotline calls, provided options counseling, assisted the legal advocate with PFA’s, and more. I worked with adult male and female general population inmates through my job as a Mental Health Worker at SCI Rockview (males) in State College, PA and SCI Muncy (females) in Muncy, PA. At both institutions, I was in the mental health unit where I observed the inmates in the unit, lead activity groups, and wrote SOAP notes on each inmate’s progress. Lastly and currently, I am working with adult male sex offenders for my practicum at the Massachusetts Sex Offender Treatment Center in Bridgewater, MA. I assist in facilitating treatment groups, write group notes, conduct Stable 2007 interviews and write the reports, attend Community Access Board (CAB) meetings, assist in teaching psychoeducational classes: Understanding Sexual Interests I and Understanding Pathways to Sexual Offending I, and more. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your requirements and my ability to handle the responsibilities as a Master’s level Therapist at your site. Please feel free to contact me at 717-398-8742 or cmeyer834@g.rwu.edu.

Rick McKee

My name is Rick McKee. I recently obtained licensure as a psychologist in Arizona and am seeking employment as a licensed psychologist in the Phoenix metro area, preferably on the east side of the valley since I will be living in Mesa (in the shadow of the Superstitions actually). Much of my training and experience has been in working for the state of Wisconsin doing sex offender assessment and treatment, particularly with individuals committed to the Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center under Wisconsin’s sexually violent person (SVP) law. However, I have also worked on research projects recently on the clinical assessment of the sexual interests of SVP patients using explicit and implicit measures. In addition, I have maintained a private practice doing adult forensic assessments of various kinds including competency and NGRI evaluations. I am fairly experienced at and comfortable with writing forensic reports for the courts and testifying in court proceedings. I would like to work part-time but, recognizing the vagaries of the job market these days, am willing to work full-time if necessary. Thank you.
